Recipes wanted for Appetizers, Soups and
Starters, Salads,
Side Dishes, Main Course Dishes, Desserts and Snacks.
Recipes may be yours or from a close family member.
Recipes may be previously published as long as they are your own original
work.
Poems must be about food but do not include
the recipe in the poem.
Poems may be in any style as long as they are your own original work.
Poems to be no longer than 50 lines and the spaces between the stanzas
count as lines.
Poems must be written on a food theme. This may include poems on your
favourite food
or least favourite food, poems about food poisoning, picnics, intimate
romantic dinners,
hunger or about lack of food, poems about gluttony or too much food,
poems about the grocery store, the grocer, the butcher, the candy man,
the chestnut vendor, the ice cream truck, poems about your childhood
treats
(marshmallow squares, anyone?), poems about eating food in odd places,
like the subway or on a mall bench, poems about watching other people
eat,
or any other poem that mentions food or any kind of food, or multiple
food items.
Poems may be previously published. There is no limit to the number of
submissions.
No lewdness, no foul language and no heavy slant on religion.
Deadline:
Poems and recipes must be received on or before May 30, 2016.
Submissions must include $15.
All who send in their recipes and poems to be considered for the book
will receive 1 free copy.
This is not a blind judging contest.
