The Much Ado About Peculiar Poetry Contest
Open to Members of The Ontario Poetry Society

1st Prize: $50 - 2nd Prize: $25 - 3rd Prize $15
and 2 Honourable Mention Awards of $10 each
Plus each winning poem to receive a fancy certificate
and all winning poems to be published in Verse Afire

Themes:
Poems to be about inner fears, emotions, past lives or experiences, poems which delve
into the supernatural, ghost poems, poems which divulge ugly secrets and truths
(not necessarily those of the author) and black humour poems.

Rules and Guidelines:
All styles welcome. Max. length per poem is 36 lines and the spaces between the stanzas count as lines.
Poems may be previously published, but no previous contest winning poems.

Blind Judging:
No author ID to be anywhere on the same page as the poem.
Include a cover page with author's name, address, telephone # and
e-mail (if possible) and poem titles OR first lines of the poem only if no title.

Contest fee:
1 book of 10 regular Canadian non-cancelled postage stamps for up to 5 poems.
Additional poems 2 non-cancelled postage stamps each.
There is no limit to the number of submissions.

Contest Deadline:
Deadline Extended > November 30th, 2012 Postmark Date
