The Ontario Poetry Society Presents
A Weird, Wonderful, Whimsical Canadian Poetry Anthology
I.B. Iskov, Editor and Compiler, Ronda Wicks Eller, Illustrator
All members of The Ontario Poetry Society are invited to participate in our annual
anthology of poetry. This collection will feature your best poems on the following topics:
Wild Things - Poems about the wild side: wild nights, wild adventures, wild animals,
wild romances, the wilderness, outrageous and eccentric people or situation(s),
wild activities including bungee jumping, ski-diving and mountain climbing.
Weird Things - Poems about weird happenings: hauntings, spirits, unusual dreams or
nightmares, imaginary friends or imaginary creatures like monsters under your bed,
the unexplained, strange coincidences, time travel, seeing a flying saucer and meeting aliens.
Whimsical Things - Poems of whimsy: silly escapades, humorous encounters, cloud hopping (going from one out-of-the-ordinary situation to another), the bizarre and the peculiar, playful songs and dances, embracing your inner child and poems about carefree experiences. Also, the irreverent, joyful, fun side of nonsensical love.
Each member must submit a minimum of 5 poems up to a maximum of 10 poems so the editor/compiler has enough choices from your submission to make the best selections for the book.
Kindly make sure your name is neatly printed on the top left hand corner of your poem and the theme of each poem is typed on the upper right hand corner of the page.
Each member is guaranteed to have a minimum of 2 short poems or 1 long poem that needs two pages in the book.
