The Ontario Poetry Society Presents:

THE POETEER AWARD

(Poetry Pioneer)

Open to Members Only of The Ontario Poetry Society

This award is presented to the poet who develops a brand new poetry form.
Applicants would have to submit a sample poem plus the new poem form name
and provide a short description (rules) of the newly created style.

(We have abstract or sound poems, acrostic poems, alphabet poems, anagrammatic poems,
ballads, blitz poems, bop poems,
cascade poems, concrete poems, elegy poems,
epitaph poems, Fibonacci poems,
found poems, ghazals, haiku poems, hay(na)ku poems,
kyrielle poems, limericks, list poems, lune poems,
monotetra poems, occasional poems,
ode poems, palindrome or mirror poems, pantoums, parody poems, prose poems,
qasida poems,
quatern poems, renga poems, rispetto poems, rondeaus,
roundabout poems, sestinas, shadorma poems,
sonnets, tankas, triolet poems and villanelles).

Adaptions of current forms are welcome.

This annual award is FREE to enter.

Annual deadline for submissions is May 31st, post mark date.

Prize includes $50, a one year free membership to The Ontario Poetry Society and a fancy certificate.
