Marty Gervais' Bio Marty Gervais is a Canadian poet, journalist, photographer, and teacher. He has won many literary awards, including this prestigious Toronto Harbourfront Festival prize for his contributions to Canadian letters and to emerging writers. Gervais is also the recipient of 16 Western Ontario newspaper awards for journalism, the Milton acorn peoples poetry, prize, the Queen's jubilee metal, and was also Windsor's inaugural poet laureate. His most recent book is The Sky Above Published by Guernica Editions. Gervais is the author of the best-selling nonfiction book called The Rumrinners.
