Poems to be
about fame, glitz and glamour,
poems about
astronomy, astrological poems, horoscopes,
space travel,
silver and gold coins or body or face paint, fireworks,
poems about
fashion, celebrations, parties, star-struck poems,
poems about
prisms, poems about shooting stars or falling stars,
poems about
polishing shoes, glass, leather, furniture, silverware & tea services,
famous people
poems such as actors, singers, politicians,
sports figures
and authors and gem poems, such as diamonds, rubies,
emeralds,
etc., whether in a natural setting or in a jewelry setting
Rules
and Guidelines:
All styles
welcome, Max. length per poem is 36 lines and
the spaces
between the stanzas count as lines. Poems may be previously
published,
but no previous contest winning poems
Blind
Judging:
No author
ID to be anywhere on the same page as the poem
Include a
cover page with author’s name, address, telephone # and e-mail
(if possible)
and poem title(s) OR first lines of the poem(s) if no title(s)
Contest
Fee:
1 poem for $2 or 3 poems for $5
There is no limit to the number of submissions
Make cheques payable to The Ontario Poetry Society
